I dont know the name of ours, but it was about $40.00 at Agway(expensive when you think about it considering it's a light bulb & styrofoam!). We bought the egg turner also, but it was a waste of money. We prefer to just turn the eggs by hand. Our chickens go broody but not often, kinda unreliable for hatching the eggs.

I wouldn'g bother trying to tame your current chickens. Your hatchlings will be really friendly as long as you spend time with them as chicks. Just watch out for an overly friendly rooster-they've been known to fly at people's eyes.
