Askinng Everybody For Thier Leaves

The house we lived in before was a wood lot Iwould have loved someone to take them away.Here we only have a few maple trees and the rest those wretched black walnut trees, leaves kill everything.So Iwould run over leaves a couple times with mower,put the ground up leaves in flower beds it was great,didnt need a shovel to dig ground was so nice.NowI want some for my garden.I asked both sons the one has alot.

You should be able to get all the leaves you want by offering to take bagged leaves from the townies. Check on the earth and composting forum for suggestions on how to get leaves.

I'd like some leaves, too, but most of what we have around here is juniper or pine needles. My own leaves blow away before I can catch them.

Be wary of accidentally transporting damaging insects and plant diseases into your garden, though!

I use to collect pine needles for all my acid loving shrubs.They loved it

I've picked up bagged leaves curbside for years & never brought home anything that would damage the garden.

I did learn, though, to use gloves when emptying the bags.

People don't always reserve those bags for "autumn leaves only"!
