What do you do with old seeds?

When you get in new seeds, do you weed out the old? I do. Not all the old, or middle-aged, but some. A cupfull or two each year. Seems to me there ought to be something I could do to recycle all that stored up energy into the garden. Any suggestions?

Like Doris said, I usually start a small amount of experimental seeds inside to see if they'll sprout. Then, I try planting them in areas where my husband can't mow the lawn. That way garden space isn't wasted on plants that might not produce.
