Really cheap cloches

The thought of buying PVC to make cloches has always bugged me. But old hula-hoops cut in half with a hacksaw make a perfect frame for 4 or 6 ml plastic to cover a 3 or 4 foot deep bed.

Coat hangers works well too, as long as you don't have a very wide bed.

I buy juice in clear plastic gallon jugs, cut out bottoms and use on newly planted tender plants as tomatoes & peppers. Am on 3rd year for some jugs.

I was thinking a few old bicycle wheels cut in half would make a nice little hoop house type thing.
