any ideas on making compost bins?

I am interested in making a compost bins that rotates in the manner of the compost tumbler or the mantis compost twin. Do anyone have plans(instructions) or ideas about this. I know a few years ago someone had exact plans on how to build one, but unfortunately, I can't findt that.

Also, I have a lot of pine tress on my property and I'm told they add a lot of acidity to the soil. Any recommendations on how to amend this frugually?

Thanks!!!!

Get thee to the Soil, Compost & Mulch forum and ask.

Quick answer for #2: pine trees don't add a lot of acid to anything. Before you amend, get your soil tested at a reliable place such as your local Extension or at Cornell - the home testing kits are a waste of money.
