Burpee Seeds below catalog prices

| I was at Kmart today. They have large racks of Burpee Seed packets. I remembered a few varieties from the catalog that I had considered buying. The Kmart packets are significantly lower priced to start PLUS they were 40% off. I don't know if the 40% is a special or if it will be that way all season. Maybe these packets are smaller, I didn't check weights, but for my small garden there should be more than enough. I passed on a few varieties in the catalog after totaling regular catalog prices PLUS shipping and handling for a small order. Now I'll buy them! If you passed on a Burpee catalog order because of price, take a look at your local Kmart. |

| Naturegirl, I'm not sure why they do that either, but I have noticed at several stores, the seeds are 40% off too. I got some at Menards and Cub foods.
There are also many at Home Depot. I have to quit looking, I have alot of w/s to do yet, but it's VERY addicting. Home Depot even had some of their new varieties. |

| Stores do that to get people in the store. So they offer the seeds below cost. They figure once someone is in the store, they will be buying more than seeds. However, they don't know people like me exist and go there only for seeds. Walmart also does that. |

| The grocery store is doing this too, at least their honest and say its going to be 40% off until September 30. So that's just the price they're going to be, not really a sale, eh? |

| Burpee seeds are sold at full price at the Darien-CT Home Depot. (Checked last week.) |

| Ocean State Job Lot has a large selection of Burpees at 40% off - they sell as a seasonal so will only be available till the seeds sell out. Ocean State is located in several NE states |

| My Home Depot (near Austin, TX) has them at a reduced price too. |

| Burpee makes the seed packets just for Wal-Mart and other places. They may have less seeds. Check the packets. |
