Jackpot! Branches and limbs in the trash = Rustic picket fence!

Wow! Yeasterday someone was throwing out a load of branches and limbs from what looked like a tree they cut down. I found it on the way home, a few blocks from my house. I checked them out and took what I could. There were 2" diameter limbs about two feet long and branches from 1/4" to 3/4" in diameter about 3' long!

I see a nice branch picket fence around one of my gardens!

This proves that one persons trash is another treasure!

Has anyone made a fence out of branches/limbs? Any suggestions?

you should come and visit me, I have a huge pile in the back field of tree trimmings. The quail like living in it. I sometimes use branches in the veggie garden as temporary markers in the beds. I have always wanted to do more with them but never enough time, too many projects. Have you ever heard of waddle fences? They are pretty cool looking

I have a pile of branches too and am building an arbor over the front of my shed. Link below is a how to. Also do a search for "natural or twig fences and arbors". There are a number of people on site with some great pics.

Here is a link that might be useful: Twig arbor/fence
