RE: free fill

What kind of business in my area would be likely to have a similar offer?

RE: free fill

check this out: i had hired a contractor to help me figure out how to level out my sloping backyard. he was on the lookout for low-cost fill because he knew that i was on a VERY strict budget. he actually chased down a truck filled with dirt excavated from a construction site and asked the driver if he had to pay to dump the dirt. the guy said yeah, so my contractor told him that he knew of a place he (and the other trucks) could dump their dirt free of charge -- which happened to be my backyard! i got HUNDREDS of dollars' worth of free dirt and now am enjoying a level backyard. yay! :)

RE: free fill

Hi - we are looking to fill an area that will require 100's of dump truck loads - did you by chance get to talking with the contractor and see what they pay people to take the fill. we are looking for clean fill - we have to be very environmental so we do not have liabilitites for contaminated soils and to clean it up.

If you have a chance to ask the contractor if he knows that would be appreciative - cost per cu m3, per yard, per dump truck?

Thanks in advance
