Eureka: a use for clementine boxes

| I get several dozen boxes of clementines each winter and never found a good use for the boxes. Best I came up with was tearing them apart for kindling. Then I had a thought: raised beds. Each bed would be small but all you have to do is remove the bottom, turn it upsidedown on the ground, then push. The corner pieces stick out, so they'll anchor the box to the ground. I may try this for square foot gardening.

| I found that if you stick the Clementine box in a plastic trash bag to waterproof it, you can use them to hold potted plants for trips to and from the greenhouse. |

| I used mine this year for groups of plants going out on pre-arranged swaps at our local events. It distinguished them from the free-for-all plants that were laid out in flats. |

| I used them as forms for making stepping stones. Just the right size for me. I found the commercial stepping stones too large and took up too much room away from planting. |
