Other uses for a telephone book?

| For some reason an extra book was delivered to me and yes can turn it in to re-cycle center but how about "telephone page pots"? |

| That's exactly what I'd do. That's what I do with most of the 8x11 paper in this house. Would probably want to use at least 4 pages though, cuz they're so thin! And then there's the mulch thing. |

Hi Telephone books are great for pressing flowers. The pages are usually a type of newsprint that is quite absorbant, and since they are usually large and thick, there's a lot of weight to help with the pressing. Geo |

| Actually I ask for an extra phone book to keep in the car. Many times I need phone numbers or addresses while mobile. When the new phone books come out, then the older ones from last year get shredded into mulch or compost. |

| I saw a stack of old books turned into a planter in a book from the library yesterday. They also said you could do it wiht a telephone book. They cut out a rectangle and planted in it! Clamped it down first, then marked and drilled four corners, then cut it out. It wouldnt last long, though... |
