I just got an e-mail from http://www.RainTankDepot.com 's mailing list that is an Earth Day sale on 4/22 on Rain Barrels and Composters. Use code "EARTHDAY" for 5% off.

Yes I agree with the making one option, they are really expensive in the US, we where given our first water barrel and composer by the local council in the uk, okay it would have been reflected in our taxes, but the economy of scale reduced the price and you could purchase more for about $15-20 the deal was like trash cans and recycle tubs, you leave them at the property when you move, so like where I live in CT garden waste is not allowed in the trash, fine we had a composter in the UK, no problems! the trash bin I have here in East Lyme is a joke, four people 1 still in diapers (I know I have spelt that wrong? nappies to me) It took us 5 weeks to fill it, okay what was winter, won't be doing that in the summer! the recycle tub! full in 2 days??? I almost feel like swapping them except I cann't! and the winter here didn't justify such a large trash bin maybe 2/3rds the size incase of a bad run of weather.
okay rant over, anyone give advice on trying to change local gov policy when you cann't vote? not on the composters and rain barrels necessarily but on the size of the recycling tub? thank's I have faith in you all, you have not let me down yet.
