| I finally got my DH to go and load up the truck! YIPPEE. Approximately 1.5 cubic yards. I don't know how many bags that would be at Lowes, though.
It's at the SMUD yard (Sacramento Municipal Utility District). The guys who trim the trees around power lines.
I was afraid it would have a lot of trash in it, but I only found one orange cone (flattened).
It has a pretty wide range of stuff in it. All chipped. Palm fronds and leaves, regular wood chips, leaves. Further down into the pile is lovely black stuff.
And all it cost us was the gas to get there and DH was going to be in that area on business today anyway.
