Spent lots of time reading the Frugal tips thread and gleaned info about the scrap lumber at Home Depot. I stopped by there today and hit the jackpot!!
I got 8 - 8 foot pressure treated 2 x 6 for $1.01 each! And 12 - 1 foot sections of 2 x 2 balluster .... FREE!
So I'll be building beds this week!
I've posted here before but it's been a long time!!!
Just wanted to say "Thanks"....and I'll be here more often probably with this economy!

Pressure treated lumber isn't safe for any vegetable plants. It can be poisonous.

I'm not sure if it is safe for regular plants....

The newer pressure treated wood does not have arsenic in it as the old did. They have new rules and regulations to make it safer.
