Dividing Autumn Fire Sedum in half

| Hi,
I found this sedum in a flat at a local Ace Hardware store, and, needing two, cut between two main growing points, and placed them in the ground behind my mailbox. I did put some water on them but not much b/c I'd read sedums dislike wet feet, and prefer rather poor soil. But I've never planted sedums before, and I'm sort of concerned that they might not grow. After three days, they haven't turned brown or anything, though a few of the leaves have curled inwards at the tips. Will these guys be OK? They are a sport of Autumn Joy, supposedly a very hearty variety... |

| I don't have that type of sedum, and i'm not sure what I have, but it seriously is indestructable. My father gave a few hunks to me a few years ago, and I left them sitting in plastic conatiners. They stayed that way, ignored, unearthed, for two years and still came back every year. I cut some hunks off, gave them to a neighbor, and they did fine. I FINALLY planted mine last summer, and they took off! I wouldn't worry :) |
