 o
pea netting

I'm looking to purchase pea netting. Being the tightwad that I am, I'm looking for an inexpensive source. Johnny's has it (6.5 feet by 30 feet - about the size I need) for $19.00

Anyone know of a better deal?

Thanks, Chris/eatsivy

I've been looking online, doing searches using various search titles. Besides Johnny's the Gardeners Supply has it (clear plastic netting with 6 inch openings - 6.5 feet by 30 feet) for about the same price. Also was doing searches for "jute netting, hemp netting, natural fiber pea and bean netting to no useful result. Ideally I'd like to find a natural-fiber pea and bean netting that is at a minimum 6 feet tall by minimum 12 feet long with 6 inch openings. I'd like it to be made of a natural fiber so that I can cut the entire tangle of pea vines and netting down and throw it all on the compost pile at the of the season.

Hi not sure is you mean to keep the criters away but by your discription I think you mean to grown them up, my grandad, used 2x2 post every say 3 feet (I was seven at the time please forgive) and used garden twine to help the plants grow, he would wrap it around each post horizontally and it seemed to do the trick and when he was done, he snipped the twine and took all the old pea vines to the compose heap as it was biodegradable, sorry I know that is a rubbish explaination I'm struggling to discribe it.
