| We live in a new construction area- so there are all kinds of good things in the dumpsters, mostly lots and lots of scrap wood, pipes, cardboard tubes, etc. I'm so excited! I found 8 really nice, like new 1x2x8 pieces of lumber-with onne screw hole in the end, but other than that they are perfect! And then I got two pieces of 2x2x8 for FREE. I'm planning to make trellises for my veggie garden with them by staking the 2x2's into the ground and screwing two 2x1's across the top on the outside of the 2x2's and then I plan to use up the rest of the wire mesh we have left over from our fencing project (wire tacked to the split rail fence on the side of our house to keep the dog in) and staple it onto the inside of the trellises! Walla -- new trellis for FREE, well better go wash the mud off my sandals- stepped in some while dumpster diving! |
