I have two bicycle rims - one large and one medium sized. Any ideas on how to make a tower for vines? I thought about putting the larger rim on the bottom (for more support) and putting the medium sized one on top. Not sure how to connect a pipe in between. Any ideas. I thought I could run fishing line from top to bottom and tie to the spokes of each one and tie pieces between them (like a net) to give the vines something to hang on to. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: trellis

Just a thought, but if you had about three or five long thin dowels, some sort of long rods/sticks, you could arrange them tee-pee style with one hoop per tee-pee. Get an upside down small flower pot and put it on top to hold the tee-pee of rods together-- can you picture what I've described?
