Good day for bargains

First I stopped in at home depot and saw a big pile of used 4 inch plant pots laying in front of the garden department on the sidewalk. I asked the manager if they were throwing them away and if so could I have them. He said yes so I got 190 four inch pots for free. Then I stopped by the supermarket and they had packages of plant identification stakes for a nickle a package on the clearance rack so I bought a lifetime supply for 50 cents. Then I went to the Fullerton Arboretum plant sale and they were selling pepper plants in three inch pots for a quarter each, so I bought 26 pepper plants including about 18 different varieties including many rare ones for a total of $6.50. All in all a good day for gardening bargains. And earlier this week some guy was advertising compost made from sawdust, horse manure, and straw for ten dollar a cubic yard including delivery so I bought 12 cubic yards. Most commercial companys want around $23 a cubic yard plus another $45 to $85 for delivery.
