Feel like I won the lottery

| Yesterday on Craig's list I found an ad for free perennials. The lady wanted to divide her's and offered some free to any takers. When I called her she told me to bring the truck!! Well, we did and we loaded the whole back end with big clumps of phlox, black eyed Susan, coral bells, campanula, shasta daisy, coreopsis, hollyhock, columbine, red hot poker, reed grass, mint autumn joy sedum, salvia, calla lily, beacon silver, heuchera and lambs ear. She wants us to go back and get more. Which we probably will do. We moved into a new house last October and have a whole yard to landscape. I (kiddingly) tried to talk her out of her one and only Japanese lace maple to no avail. |

| That's awesome! Congrats!! people in freecycle do that often as well, and last year I got five of them come by to take a number of plants I needed to thin out after I posted an offer. This year I got rid of our front lawn and are moving the extras there, so I didn't offer, but probably next year. |

| I go to my Step Mother In Law's house all the time and I leave with garbage bags full of plants...even though I have no more room! She just wants to thin out her plants but she is so generous. Gosh, I love these people! She basically has landscaped my whole yard. We had to add a new garden this year because of what she has been giving us. These people are the ones to know. Maybe I will be one of those people soon! |

| I have not looked at this forum before But, it sure is me.
Have to keep a watch on more of these great bargains. I was out driving with my daughter today, and she likes to look at abandoned homes and take photos for her web site. Sometimes I come across some abandoned garden plants Today it was rhubarb, which I had been wanting, as I recently moved and have none. |
