***A re post from cottage garden forum***

I live in Connecticut and I just went to HOME DEPOT the other day and these are the perennials I bought.
1 gallon pots:

2 BLUE MIST BLUEBEARD (CARYOPTERIS X CLANDONENSIS) for $2.50 each

2 BLACK ADDER ANISE-HYSSOP (AGASTACHE BLACK ADDER) for $2.50 each

a COREOPSIS of some sort that lost its tag for $2.50

a BLACK EYED SUSAN (RUDBECKIA FULGIDA GOLDSTRUM) for $2.50

and 3 larger pots of LITTLE SPIRE RUSSIAN SAGE (PEROVISKIA LITTLE SPIRE) for $4.00 each.

That very same day I went to LOWES and only the annuals were on sale so I passed on them.

Ciao,
Mihai

RE: Found plants on sale

Congrats!
I went to my local Home Depot and they had hardy orchid (Bletilla striata) for $2.47 in 6" pots. They were mislabeled as a generic houseplant. I found them next to small palms, but knew what they were from the growth at the base and the old bloom stems. I bought all they had, gave some away and still have 5 for myself!
Then I "rescued" several sad looking orchids (dendrobuims and phaleonopsis) for $3.00 each.
Love it!
Barb
