| Just thought I'd say hello. I feel like I've found my forum on Garden Web!
My entire garden is what I call Charlie Brown plants. Next to dead for next to nothing - lol.
I'm a UPS driver and I'll tell you that one of the coolest frugal ideas I've ever seen was a lady whose flower beds were covered in old wine corks instead of mulch. |

Welcome to garden web, its a great place. That lady must have drunk a lot of wine! Its intrigueing enough that I'm tempted to try to save a few for a small section, or maybe the veggie garden paths.

| Welcome to the GW Indalyne. I'm not sure where anyone gets enough corks to cover pathways, but what a cool idea. You have the perfect job for being able to cruise other people's gardens and get great ideas. Sometimes I try to leave for work early so I can detour off my usual route and look at people's gardens. I think that for every expensive garden idea there is a similar idea that can be implemented for almost nothing, if not for free. DH didn't always agree with me, but he doesn't argue about it anymore. He has even started to come up with a few ideas of his own. Cheryl |
