| Well, I suspect that the answer is going to be a big "yes" for several reasons -- 1) THEIR costs are going up, for everything from shipping to fuel to packaging materials to probably labor. 2) Increased demand. Last year, most of the local garden centers seemed to sell a LOT of seeds, especially the cheaper places like Wal-mart. I think the good news is that 1) seeds are STILL a bargain when you think about it == you can grow a LOT of food from many packets if you're careful and 2) I'm sure there will still be enough seeds to go around, although I personally plan on putting in my orders VERY early, around Christmas, just as soon as the catalogs come out, so that I'm guaranteed the specific varieties and quantities I want. I don't think any one thing, overall, will be totally unavailable, just may have to do some research and shop around to get things. My opinions. Your mileage may vary. |
