| I'm not sure if I predate mist chambers but I predated them in a greenhouse where I once worked. Our primary crop was cut roses. Every few years the owner would get the idea of propagating and what was tried was pots covered with jars or plastic bags - very poor results. Then we installed a mist chamber and the difference was unbelievable. Nearly a total success rate was achieved. And, this wasn't just with roses; it was with quite a few vines and other plants. The problem for the gardener with these clear-tents-with-indoor-showers is the expense of buying the valves. Hdladyblu, good for you! Your brugmansia cuttings may not require the bother or expense of setting up a mist chamber. But, you may benefit from reading this thread in the propagation forum. Steve |
