Great idea ! Those things are multiplying faster than rabbits . It had not occurred to me to use the wire as plant supports. Thanks for the usage idea . Any other suggestions ?
I posted this a year or two ago in the Farm Life forum.
My chicken pens are long and 4 ft wide, so I can put fencing over the top, on a slant. Then grab a bunch of illegally-placed political signs and wire them on, overlapping like shingles. Makes a nice roof.
They don't last forever in the sun (get brittle), but they're free.
I gather the U-shaped ones to use as garden row fabric support. Just stick the ends into the grownd on both sides of a wide row and put row cover over the top. Fasten fabric with clothes pins. Row fabric protects against insects, shade cloth protects against too-hot sun, old bed sheets deliver a surprising amount of protection against frost or even light snow.
