Homemade garden recipes

I'm new to the site so forgive me if my question has been asked a million times. A while ago I got either a news letter from the National Gardening Club or a catalog from a "Spring Hill" type of store (I can't remember) and In it was a magazine or newsletter that you could subscribe to that gave organic recipes for the garden. Recipes for homemade fertilizer or pest control. I think it would be something my father-in-law would like for Christmas and I can't seem to find this magazine anywhere.

Is anyone familiar with this magazine/newsletter?? If so, please advise. Also if you have the name of a good book that had any of this type of information--that would be helpful too!

Sometimes useful 'organic'-type recipes are available over on the herbalism site, both on the main Garden Web and the Australasian site. They're usually very friendly and patient people, I've found.

Yes, the Herbalism Forum is wonderful! You may also be thinking about Organic Gardening magazine or Jerry Baker's newsletters. Some people think he's a quack but I don't know enough to form an opinion. I do have a ton of his newsletters that I could give you but I've highlighted them to death! LOL! You may want to copy & paste the stuff you think would be interesting & then put everything in a 3-ring binder, basically making your own book. Just a thought.
