hanging plant pot wire help

Posted by Plantbug 7 NC (My Page) on

I have several of the wires which come with a hanging planter (which as been rescued from going to the landfield). Some of thess are plastic, but mostly wire. I use the pots but haven't come up with an idea on the 'hanger' part. Any ideas on what to use the 3-wire ends with the hook(hanger) on one end?

RE: hanging plant pot wire help

I twist the metal ones together a little so I can turn the ends up making a hook similar to the one at the top end. I hook the original end to a hook fastened into the fascia board on the house overhang. I use the plastic ones on the pot which I hang a pot on the other end. This drops the pot down farther from the eves so its easier to water. I used to use macrame plant hangers but this is so much easier than getting out the ladder & climbing up to hang it from the hook on the eves. I hang several pots like this across the front & back of the house. This is so easy, all hang a uniform distance and last forever. Best Wishes, Barbara.
