Yes this was discussed before. You can buy the rootstock, or find it in the wild. I remember some members were going to attempt it.

Dan Hemenway of Barking Frog Permaculture, down at Sparr, FL was in the process of trying this - grafting good fruiting blueberry selections onto existing V.arboreum plants on their property - 15 years or more ago. I sent him cuttings from some northern highbush and rabbiteye types, but haven't heard from him in years, so don't know how much, if any, success he had.
V.arboreum grows wild throughout the woodlands of east-central AL, where I originated, and it's present in my woods here in southern west-central KY.
