Surprised you're asking for a cutting here given your location. The standard variety, 'Wonderful' does great in your area, is cheap and easy to find anyplace that sells plants, and is growing on just about every street in many parts of SoCal.

All you have to do is track down some bushes growing in public areas (try one of the urban harvesting/foraging databases to help locate some) and take your own cuttings. You sure do have an impressive array of seeds to trade though...

PR,
I just bought a box of giant Wonderful pomegranate that is very sweet at Costco. If you want seeds I can save plenty for you. They are very easy to start. Just send me email.

There are lots of ornamental pomegranates planted around so don't just clip a random SoCal pom or you may be disappointed.

Good point melikeeatplants, you'd want to first make sure it's what you want, seeing it with fruit is an easy give away.
