Liberty apple on m27 or M26?

Hi- I am looking for suggestions on which rootstock to get a Liberty apple on for a small area in my backyard.

Here is the space in question: Unlimited height. Unlimited width in the east-west direction. Width in the north-south direction in bounded by a fence and other plantings allowing only 4-5' until the tree is above the 6' fence, then it can spread out in the north-south direction.

I prefer the taller tree of M26 due to the privacy it will provide. The tree would block the line of sight of a neighbors window (at least while it has leaves). However, I am concerned about the narrow width being too small for a M26?

What are your thoughts?

I am in the Portland, Oregon area.

I've honestly never tried M27 because I was afraid the tree would runt out at a small size. Around here trees on M26 only get about 10-12 ft with no pruning. In your mild climate, especially if you have strong soil, the tree will probably get bigger. How much bigger I don't know but you could certainly hold it to that height by summer pruning and by not over watering or over fertilizing.

I haven't heard of many growers going with M27. Maybe someone on here has. It can be a very small tree, like never reaching your 6ft height.
