I get it too Bill. I understand the site has to use advertising to pay for the software and bandwidth but when the pop ups are bad enough to frustrate the using experience, it turns users away from the site.

Haven't really been getting any pop ups - as long as you don't scroll your cursor over any highlighted words within a post. For instance, in BCS's post, "PC" is highlighted and in Fireball's post "software" is highlighted. Those are both hidden popups that only show up when you scroll over them. Most of the ads are on the RT side of the page. There are some other websites that I've mostly stopped visiting due to the over aggressive ads.

Try installing some ad blocking software. AdBlock works for me.

Ads would pop up without touching anything. I would close it only to have it reopen as soon as I touched the screen. If not for the block app, I would be gone too. I too have IOS and I used a free Adblock. It works beautifully.

A few Pop-Ups is OK. I understand the need to be able to pay for this site. Until a few days ago I could do as you suggested and just move the cursor over. The last few days has been ridiculous. No matter where I place my cursor Pop-Ups came up in such huge numbers I quit reading and ask for help. A few is OK but when you get so many you just leave the site no one is served including the advertiser.
