Water Question for SoCal

With water restrictions a real probability in the very near future; does anyone have or know of a schedule of water needed based on age or tree size?

Anyone in SoCal use gray water for their orchards?

(I just have to few trees left to tie in to a drip system and all are mulched)

Almost everything is breaking dormancy right now. It's going to be an interesting year. I use gray water in the garden, potted plants and Earthboxes come first, but I don't generate enough GW to water everything.

A suggestion on the California forum was to capture the cold shower water while waiting for the hot water to come in, and use that. Our water takes forever to get hot both up and down stairs, so this will work in the kitchen also. Our big job is to buy some buckets!

I can't believe I complained that they refused to pave our street last month when it was raining!! It's the only rain we've had in some time!

desertdance, that's the easiest entry point into capturing gray water.
