pruning blueberries

I have Reka, Northland, Brigita... I pruned them all for shape and crowded branches last year. They are about 3 years old. Some of them were really unbalanced (a lot of branches on one side, not many on the other). Anyhow, I was thinking I would not touch them again for another 3 years, just to let them get big and bushy and balance themselves out, then go back in and prune them again after that. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Personally,I wait until they are about 4-5 years old, before starting to prune, unless there are some obvious things that need attention. After that,a few older canes are removed every year, along with any crossing, dead or small twiggy growth. Brady
