I have several relatively young trees on St. Julien. I can't complain, but don't have much to compare it to.

They do sucker. I've dug up suckers to use as rootstock for new trees.

in this part of the World it is the most inexpensive rootstock for stone fruits.
Good features are: mainly both drought as well as use for damp soils.
Depending on soil type they, do sucker. Fairly susceptible to bacterial canker.

less well, tree height about 16 ft.
very cold resistant, early fertile, easy to propagate by hobbyists.'
