Has anyone eaten this blueberry yet and if so your thoughts? Have you been able to compair it to other SHB in flavor? Ive read its a very strong grower and with good flavor but every variety says good flavor, which is true but some are much better than others. Im thinking about adding this one to my collection for trial but want to hear others thoughts regarding this variety.

Thanks Gator! Do you have advice on getting blackberry root cuttings to sprout? Ive read to just refridgerate for 2 to 3 weeks then plant about 2 inches below soil verticly. Im moving this month and got some thick root cuttings from Tupi. I hope I can get them established in a pot this spring and then plant next fall.

For blackberries I would fill pots with soil and tip root them from existing vines. I will need to do this too when i move. This year is going to be a good test as what can survive here. It's -2 degrees this morning. I grow NHB blueberries, but want to add some SHB, I added Sweetcrisp, Southmoon, and Legacy. All will arrive this spring. I'll be growing them in pots to take with me. I noticed with black raspberries, the actual tip of the vine will root very easily. My plant stuck like 4 tips in the ground and rooted. i had to pull them all out!! I wonder if you can do this with blackberries? Seems like you could start with a larger piece doing it this way. Instead of covering a portion near the tip with soil, actually put the tip right in the soil.

Just put in soil deep they want come up just keep shade and cool. It normal to lose 60% that want make plant you can better get better percentage. They sprout from root and pop out ground best at 2" deep. I don't like ideal using pot because dry out to easy. They come up best second warm month you have that be April in ground Huston. Here what I do using wall-o-water plant in ground now in 6 weeks they take off growing.
