| musa bajoo bananas have been around a long time and are zone 5 hardy but the fruit is not edible. I was hoping this new variety was the banana I've been waiting for. |

| when i had my basjoo, never tested out the winter, but I don't think it is zone 5 hardy, maybe in the right hot microclimate and with protection, probably so then. too much work to get a banana to produce in northern zones, guess maybe someone who used greenhouse and light system could achieve that. Anyways if burgess says something is edible, doesn't make it so, even if they sell an apple tree, won't have edible fruit, because just a dead stick lol |
