The best variety descriptions I know of are from Fall Creek Nursery. Unfortunately they are wholesale with a $2000 minimum order. They are on the cutting edge of new varieties.

My favorites are Star, Santa Fe, and Southmoon. But I'm in a greenhouse in pots.

The varieties you mention- I have never heard of them- must be our differing climates.

The ones fruitnut mentioned are Southern types since he's in TX. Out of your list, I would pick Duke (early, high yield), Bluecrop (all around) and Reka (vigorous).

Duke is good. Bluecrop is good. I love the flavor of Hardyblue. Reka is good. I haven't tried the others. All four bear well, but are pretty much the same seson. Duke is a little earlier.

We planted Reka, Duke, Patriot, Pink Champaine, Bonus, Elliot, and Chippewa. We ordered most wholesale from Hartmann's Plant Company and received good plants. Their catalog has very good info also. Another good reference is Heartland Blueberries, they have a variety called Hannah's Choice that is supposed to be very early but is for a warmer zone than we are.

I have Northland, Duke and Bluecrop. They're all pretty good. Ask your County extension agent which of those varieties are recommended for your area. That's what I did.

I have a couple of Hannah's Choice. This one was hard to establish, but the one that is doing really well has wonderful peach-flavored berries. I have not tasted Duke fruit, but everything I read says they are bland and mainly grown for being early and productive. For a mid-late variety, Ozarkblue blows everything away that I have grown. It stands up to the heat really well, resists spring frosts, and is extremely productive with great flavor. It has a fairly high chill requirement and is probably worth trying even in zone 5 in areas with hot summers.

I also really like Blueray, Legacy and Sierra.
