Wanted: red-fleshed apple seeds - swap or buy!

Hi all,

I'm looking for seeds of red-fleshed apples.
An willing and happy to pay for them, or swap seeds for them, whatever. (BTW I have rare Microcitrus australasica fingerlime seeds, if anyone's interested.)

Meanwhile, happy growing!
Jack

Do you know that apples don't come true from seed very often? You might not get a red fleshed apple tree from the seed of a red fleshed apple. What you should be looking for instead is a cutting from a red fleshed apple tree, as that will grow in to a new tree that is genetically identical to the tree it was cut from.

Hi homertherat, yes I do know that apple seeds don't grow true to their parent tree.
I have no option, however. To bring live plants or cuttings into Australia costs thousands of dollars and takes many years of paperwork and quarantine.
Clean seeds are permitted.

That's rough! Well, I hope you're successful in your venture to find a red fleshed apple!
