I am planning on planting a jonafree semidwarf and macfree semidwarf apple tree. I chose these because of the high resistance to disease. Are these a good choice for a first time apple grower? Will these trees thrive in massachusetts zone 6? Anyone with exsperience in growing these trees that could give me some reviews it would be greatly appreciated! Would i need to spray these trees for disease/pests?
