One of my blackberries has rust colored circles on the canes, very heavy in some places. Looks to be orange felt. Anyone else have this, is there a way to get ride of it?

Your image doesn't seem to work but sounds like you are describing orange rust. Just look it up on Google for more info. I think you have to destroy infected plants.

I remember MrsG had some orange rust on her raspberries, and brambles are brambles it was treatable, but forgot what is best to use? Maybe she will chime in?

Wow, good job, you found the problem yourself! I would use copper while dormant. And remove the canes after fruiting ASAP.
|
Good catch! I wonder if a lime sulfur spray would allow control it? I'm going to have to use a lime sulfur spray this year on a least a few of my berry plants that keep getting fungal infestations. Boysenberries tend to be about the worst afflicted in my garden.
