Trying to find ungrafted fruit trees/seeds

Does anyone know where I can get seeds or an ungrafted Apple or friut tree from? I have one field I am saving for these and I'd like to just preserve the original stock. I have enough grafted trees, I'd really like to find some nice heirloom trees or seeds.
Appreciate your help !

If you are looking for native type fruit trees on their own roots, try VDOF.

There is also a place called Vintage Virginia Apples off rt 29 in VA that has some Heirloom varieties.

If you are looking to grow persimmon from seed, I bought my seed from England's Orchard. Cliff is a great guy to work with.

You might find trees/seeds in your local parks, this is how I've grown lots of trees.

I have never bought anything from Oikos but it has been mentioned a lot on this forum:

Here is a link that might be useful: Wild Apples

Catnip Farms for peach seeds
For wild crabapples and pears try
If you want something else try Sandusky

You can save the seeds from the apples you buy at the market, which will usually sprout just fine. One of my trees was grown by me from a granny smith apple seed. The tree produces a sweet yellow apple similar to a golden delicious. You never know what you might get when using seeds, and the time they take to bear can be unbearable. But it will be your unique tree.
