I have red double blooming and yellow double blooming pomegrante plants. they are about 6-7 feet and well bushed. After I have bought them and seen the flowers, i am little bit upset. when I grewup... I heard flowering pomegrante don't set fruits. Is that true? I have yellow flowering one and red flowering one. last year they had somany flowers. my 2 small kids thought they are strawberries and aways cut the flower buds. Does your fruiting pomegranate have double blooms or single blooms? are my lants not going to set fruits? I have limited place, if they are not going to fruit, i will replace them.

There was a discussion a couple of years ago: http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/fruit/msg04192310429.html?16 and a lot of Web info that double-flowered poms do not fruit, are used for ornamentals, form tiny fruit like a rose hip.

oh nooo.... I am growing them for few years. they are now good size. I have got them from local reputable nursery. they didn't mention the variety, but told me that they will fruit soon and they had fruits too on their plants.
