Dwarf(Bonsai) Pomegranate Tree

I recently received a Bonsai Pomegranate tree within the last two weeks. I let the tree adapt to the new environment, and repotted the tree. I brought it to work, and the leaves on the lower portion of the tree have turned yellow and fallen off. I'm trying to determine if this is an overwatering issue, or do I need to feed the plant? Any tips/help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kinda of no such thing as overwatering for bonsai, given proper soil with very good drainage. Not sure what your issue is, but I know my bonsai pomegranates have always gone through some rough patches but always come back with a vengeance.

Some good fertilizer probably would not hurt. Of course, consistent strong light and warmth are imperative for keeping these normally deciduous/semi-deciduous plants green.
