Can you graft Fruiting Quince on Asian Pear tree?

Hey all,

I have a young 4 in 1 Asian Pear tree.
Im getting some quince cuttings from UC cuttings program and rather than graft onto my 5 Quinces trees, I'd rather just graft them onto my pear tree (since i dont like pears as much). Is that possible, or is it not compatible?

and if they are compatible, Can you use a simple whip and tongue graft?

According to "The Home Orchard" book, that combo is not compatible. On p. 100 of that book there is a nice table of general graft compatibility.
