Lower and lower production of berry patch

Raj Secura

Hi all, my patch is about 12x30 feet and has consistently produced 6 gal of berries in the early summer and 1/4 that in the fall picking. Over the last 3 or four years, the production has continued to go down and the plants are spindly and short. New shoots that come from the roots grow stronger and hardier and produce better. I need to contain the patch as I grow lots of vegetables. Does the patch need to be dug up and moved? Best fertilizer? When? The berries are in direct sun for the day. I have sandy soil. Using Miracle Grow mostly for fertilizer during the growing season.

An suggestions will be appreciated.

Raj
