prime jim blackberry in the desert?

I was wondering if anyone had tried primocane blackberries in desert areas I live in Peoria AZ. I have rosborough planted this year but won't get fruit until next year, so when I stopped by Lowe's today and saw they were carrying Prime Jim blackberries I was interested, the idea of blackberries this year is very enticing. I would probably keep in a container 15 gallon size for mobility when sun changes position and such. The tag says to zone 8 and that is not me, has anyone had luck with them, the other concern is chill which we go between 250 and 400 usually this year was 256hrs.
