Fruits on the newly planted Peach tree

I planted a Loring Peach tree 6 weeks back and it bloomed in a week or two and i see about 8 baby peaches (I circled two of them in the attached photo).

Going thru the forum I realized that it is better not to allow fruiting in the first year. My head says to remove the fruits but my heart says to leave at least few of them.

Could anyone please share your thoughts on this.

Congratulations on your fine looking tree. The fruits might still fall off on their own. But if they don't then I'm with you leave a couple. It won't hurt the tree as long as it can easily support the weight and it has lots of leaves compared to the fruit left. Factor in that Loring fruit can get very big.

hi fruitnut, thanks for the wishes and posting. My 4 year old daughter is curious to see how the flowers turn into fruits :-).

I also planted a Ranger peach along with Loring and surprisingly Ranger is yet to break the dormancy, I don't even see any sprouts but the trunk and branches looks green. Hope it comes good.
