Almond tree produced almonds

My almond (a seedling of nonpareil) tree produced almonds; I pollinated some flowers with Krauter vesuvious plum, moorpark apricot (F1 seedling), and others were open-pollinated---and they still produced fruit. The interesting part is that there are no almond trees, here where I live, to pollinate the almond.
