Rainwater is probably better than your tap water for watering your plants. If you were trying to drink it then you would need a good filter because of all the things it will pick up coming off your roof.

It isonly ton water trees and vegetables.

Another thing to consider if you really want to conserve water, is get drip irrigation.. Your pump should be enough Pressure to work very well.. I'll tell you again, you are doing great, don't let anyone tell you otherwise! A normal gardener would die for a setup like yours!

I looked into a drip system and got hesitant because of the cost. I have a pony bwater pump with 300 gph speed it keeps good pressure into the hose and I irrigate mannually.

If you're not paying for water and you have enough how your irrigating now,it's unnecessarily, but it would conserve lots! How big is the tank? Where'd you purchase it?
