hi i live in zone 6 and i was wondering which black raspberry varieties is better Black Hawk or Jewel. like how much fruit can it produce, type of diseases resistance or which one is better overall.

I did well with Jewel in Amarillo. Beautiful big berries. I transplanted some Allen yesterday to make a full bed but haven't tried Black Hawk. Well I did but didn't get past planting last spring. Not the fault of the variety.

I have done very well with 'Bristol' I live in zone 7 with a foot in zone 6. Mrs. G

How much fruit do you want, then someone can hazard a guess about how many canes you need to cultivate.
