pruning cabernet grapes in May

I have ten, 2yr. old vines that have not been pruned yet. They have come out of dormancy and are putting out shoots, suckers, and grape clusters. Can I prune at this time or should I wait until winter? If it is ok to prune, what are the restrictions if any, for this time of the season here in north Georgia.

I would wait until it goes dormant again.

Let it grow out as much as it wants, store lots of energy for growing roots this winter, and then you can cut it back virtually as mercilessly as you want once its dormant.
